La Fabrique culturelle wanted to interview some professional artists and students of La maison des métiers d’art de Québec, the Arts and Crafts School where I studied for more than 2 years. The interview is in French, but you’ll get the chance to see my sewing room and some of my most beautiful and impressive costumes. :D Basically, I’m explaining how I discovered cosplay, how I was perceived through the cosplay community when I started as a cosplayer while I was mostly known as a glamour model and my fight to convince people that I was really sewing and building my costumes by myself. Studying at the Arts and Crafts School was such a humbling experience. I was used to work with fabrics and knits, but I had never woven a fabric or knitted a knit! lol Because of cosplay, I was very good at reproducing already existing designs, but I had lost a certain creativity that I rediscovered through my classes at the Arts and Crafts School. What an unforgettable experience! You may not undersand French, but I’m sure you’ll enjoy watching the video. :)

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I’ve been so incredibly busy in the past few months working on many photosets and various projects… I had plans for Valentine’s Day, but of course, nothing went as planned! lol So this is another last minute concept. 3D printed heart-shaped box covered with glitters and a complete background that you will discover in the photoset… that I should release tomorrow! lol Yes, it will be a Happy Belated Valentine’s Day! But believe me, the wait will be worth it. ;)

Happy New Year 2022

A new year has just started… and I want to thank you!  :) 2021 was certainly my most creative year ever! I was able to produce some of the most incredible photosets I’ve ever made, including my breathtaking Valentine’s Day special, my unforgettable Québec’s National Day camping tent setup, my lovely Sponty in her magical garden with its giant fiberglass carrot and my ultimate favorite and greatest technical achievement as a set maker and model, my Evil Dead cosplay parody photoset. :D

All this was made possible thanks to you! Thanks for your support!

I promise 2022 will be just as amazing! And to start the year, make sure to check out my latest print series! ;) www.store.mcbourbonnais.com

Happy New Year 2022!

Merry Naughty Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you all!

If you follow me on Twitter (mcbourbonnais1) you know that I spent the past weeks working on a big Christmas themed photoset that I wasn’t able to finish on time… BUT I managed to build another last minute set in my workshop so I could have Christmas pics for you! No, it’s not a real Christmas cabin bedroom, it’s just a set… that I will demolish tomorrow because I need room to build something else! lol

Thanks for your support and enjoy my new Naughty print series! www.store.mcbourbonnais.com

Happy Halloween – Evil Dead Cosplay

Groovy Halloween! I thought that my Evil Dead Ash cosplay would be perfect to celebrate Halloween this year! :D Even better, I did an ‘Evil Boner’ parody for you… and you’ll love it! Check out my store for a breathtaking surprise that includes 2 horny skeletons. ;)

Yes, I built that set in my workshop! More than 1 month of intensive work… Pretty cool, right? :D Scroll down to see some BTS pics and discover how my skeletons hung from the ceiling like life size puppets with tons of fishing wires. I could change the pose of each skeleton thanks to these wires. It took forever to install and it made the photoshoot very time consuming… Yes, those wires were removed in Photoshop. Extra work for the photographer, sorry. But it was worth it. :D

Shoot for the Stars Photoset

I wanted to release that set on the 4th of July, but things didn’t go as planned! lol Actually, if you didn’t know, I got a rhinoplasty on July 3rd, I still have bruises under my eyes and I’m looking forward to sharing a picture of my new nose with you! :D In the meantime, I was finally able to release Part 1 of that gorgeous set in the middle of July… and I just added Part 2 to my store!

I had a lot of fun building that set. It’s surprising what we can do with aluminum rolls and sheeter screws… :D This photoset is intensively sexy, so you’d better be prepared. ;)

Bonne St-Jean-Baptiste!

Today is Québec’s National Day, or St-Jean-Baptiste, as we say in French. :) It’s time for a beer… and for some incredible Limited Edition pics! You’ll never see the fleur-de-lis the same way! ;)

Sponty Cosplay

Finally! After almost 2 years, the Sponty cosplay pics are ready! :D Building the costume and the photoset was a long adventure and organizing a photoshoot between 2 lockdowns, respecting all the COVID health measures, was a challenge. Yes, my fanciful garden photoset with its fiberglass carrot was built in my workshop… and you can read the making of blog here: Sponty cosplay costume & photoset making of – Marie-Claude Bourbonnais (mcbourbonnais.com)
