10-year career: Ninja Division Rin Farrah cosplay at Gen Con 2012

Celebrating my 10-year career! Back to 2012: the beginning of my collaboration with Soda Pop Miniatures – Ninja Division!

After I built and unveiled Ninja Division’s mascotte cosplay pics (see my previous post) I realized that this uncomfortable fiberglass costume wasn’t wearable. In order to attend Gen Con with Ninja Division’s team, I’d have to choose and build the costume of another character from their games. I chose Rin Farrah from Relic Knights.

It was the first costume I made using genuine leather. I had no real knowledge in leather working and sewing and it wasn’t perfect, but I was proud of it. I also really liked the ‘armor’ look of my previous fiberglass costume and decided to include a fiberglass bra to Rin’s costume. I pierced tiny holes all along the fiberglass bra, where the wires would be in a regular fabric bra, and I stitched by hand the fiberglass cups to the costume’s sewing allowances, including a leather piping in the costume design to hide the joint between the fiberglass and the leather.

If you look at the making of pic, you’ll see that the fiberglass bra is fitting me perfectly, covering my areolas entirely. I had decided to wear orange leather pasties just in case and putting the costume on, I realized that when the pasties were showing off, it actually looked good! So I cut bigger pasties and wore the costume like this on purpose. When I was received as a cosplay guest at AWA in Atlanta that year, I couldn’t wear my R Mika costume because the bottom was a thong and I had to cover my breasts with my wig in my Rin Farrah costume because they thought the orange pasties looked too much like areolas from far! 😂

Even though so many girls walk around half naked in conventions everywhere through North America, I’ve often been treated like THE one that goes ‘too far’ in cosplay sexiness. Must be the implants.

Today, when I look at this costume, I see sewing flaws, but I still love it. Sweet memories. :) Photographer: Bryan Humphrey

10-year career: Ninja Division Candy Cosplay

Celebrating my 10-year career! It’s in 2011 that a tabletop game company called Soda Pop Miniatures (now Ninja Division) contacted me. They were looking for a cosplayer to bring to life their company’s mascotte Candy and asked if I knew a costumer they could hire to build Candy’s costume. ‘I’m a costumer!’ I said. At the time, I was known more as a model than as a cosplayer and costumer.

It took me one year to develope this costume. The collar, sleeves and skirt were made of fake leather. The belt was cut in a metal sheet, folded around my hips and covered with fake leather, so it was strong enough to support the fiberglass hip guards.

The chest armor piece was also a fiberglass shell, front and back. On the next pic, you can see the shoulder joint.

All the hard pieces were made of fiberglass.

After my Mortal Kombat Frost mask, this costume was my first real experience with fiberglass and automotive paint. It took the same time to build this than it took to build my fiberglass robot in 2015. It was truly a learning experience! lol I finally unveiled pics of Candy in 2012, but I couldn’t wear this costume for Gen Con that year. It was too uncomfortable. I had to build another Soda Pop Miniatures costume later that year. Candy cosplay print available on my store: www.store.mcbourbonnais.com

10-year career: FHM Philippines magazine February 2012 by Jay Tablante

Celebrating my 10-year career! ‘Skimpy Love’ they wrote… when I was published in the FHM Philippines magazine on February 2012!

These pictures were taken in New York City during the weekend of NYCC 2011 while photographer Jay Tablante was there for the event. I had also shot my Disco Dazzler and Ms. Marvel costumes with him. Prints available on www.store.mcbourbonnais.com

Merry Christmas Special Sexy Santa Girl Artwork by Sex Fire

Merry Christmas to you all! Or should I say ‘Marry Christmas’? Thanks to the artist Sex Fire who came up with this slingshot version of Santa Girl clothes… That red slingshot remembers me of something… and you? But don’t worry, if it’s too much (or not enough) sexiness for your desperate eyes, I can simply take it off. ;)

10-year career: Street Fighter R Mika Cosplay at Tour Concomics in 2011

Celebrating my 10-year career! Great memories from exactly 6 years ago, December 2011, when I was received as a cosplay guest by a convention for the very first time! It was for Tour Concomics, Mexico, where I unveiled my R Mika latex costume. :) The first pic is the very first teaser I posted of my costume! And here I am on stage, at the convention in Guadalajara, with my friend and translator Lalo. What a memorable moment! And epic costume! lol ;) This costume remains one of the most complicated costumes I made so far.

10-year career: American Curves Magazine November 2011

Celebrating my 10-year career! Great memories from November 2011: when I was published in the American Curves Magazine ‘Underboobs Shots’ special! :D And they used a pic of me to illustrate this hilarious article!  You know, men’s magazines and their articles…  ;)

10-year career – Québec Érotique Magazine Juin 2011

Celebrating my 10-year career! Souvenir pics from June 2011: I was on the cover of the French Canadian Québec Érotique Magazine! Quebec’s National Day is on June 24th (la St-Jean-Baptiste) and being published in the June issue of a sexy magazine was the perfect gift to offer to my fans through the province!  Fun fact: the tiles and floor you see on the pics and the other background used during this photoshoot were brought from home to the photo studio in Montreal. I painted the bronze color and turquoise lines on each of these tiles. :)

Aimsee and Keira fighting by artist Pop-Lee

Since I came up with the idea of creating my own Original Character, I collaborated with a lot of great artists from all around the world. One of the very first artists I hired to draw my OC Aimsee was Pop-Lee. He’s the man behind the designs of my 2 Aimsee mousepads, the art of the dakimakura and the cute chibi I used to make some flyers and online advertisement. Pop-Lee is a loyal and important collaborator in the development of my Aimsee project and I appreciate his talent a lot.

After a certain time, I decided to create Keira, another original character, so Aimsee would have a friend… or an enemy! And Pop-Lee made his version of Keira and Aimsee fighting! Take the time to look at all the details in the background. This piece, with its deep colors, is simply incredible.

This  artwork is available as a print on my online store, as well as the mousepads and dakimakura. The perfect sexy Christmas gifts for a friend… or for yourself!  ;) www.store.mcbourbonnais.com

10-year career: attending NYCC 2011 and photoshoot for the FHM Philippines

Celebrating my 10-year career! Another great memory, bringing you back to October 2011: attending NYCC with my friend Riddle and doing a photoshoot with photographer Jay Tablante for the magazine FHM Philippines. THAT was unexpected… and awesome!  My Ms Marvel costume is an example of a latex costume I was able to make all by myself thanks to the teaching from Polymorphe. (See my Sue Storm post from a few days ago to discover how I learned how to work with latex.) My Disco Dazzler was incredible, with the roller skates covered in small mirror pieces… I wore it only once. Maybe I should wear it again eventually.
