You missed a Limited Edition print series in the past year? This is your chance to complete your print collection! :D More than 80 prints are available again during my birthday weekend.
The ‘Over The Rainbow’ selfies, the jaw-dropping ‘Neon’ selfies, the now legendary and heart-stopping ‘Sexting’ selfies and other Limited Edition vintage blonde print series are available for the very last time until October 15th, midnight! :)
I’ve been wanting to do a photoshoot with a pink wig forever! :D Just needed a good concept! Finally, here’s my new dazzling ‘Love Hotel’ ultra pink glamour photoset with an 80s punk touch. It almost looks like a Jem cosplay from Jem and the Holograms! lol Hope you will enjoy it as much as I do! :)
You know that I sign each print to your name and that I add a personalized caption on each print. When you read all the captions, it creates a little story. What will I come up with this time? ;)
This photoset is a perfect example of how we can mix materials or use them in a creative way to build something unexpected. No, my beaver couch isn’t made of logs. However, I did use real tree bark. ;) Curious? Check out my making of pics to discover the secret behind my beaver living room! Yes, I also made the beaver ears and quilted leather tail. I never thought I’d sew a beaver tail one day. lol
It all started when someone in my neighborhood cut down a big tree. Large pieces of bark would come out so easily from the trunk and that bark was so beautiful, full of moss and texture… I decided to bring to the workshop as many pieces of tree bark as I could. Yes, that’s Sponty’s giant fiberglass carrot that you see on the pic. This carrot is definitely watching you. ;)
I don’t know how the idea of a beaver couch happened… but it happened! lol I needed kinds of cylinders to replicate logs and I thought of those cardboard tubes for concrete that they sell at the hardware store. Light and easy to cut, they could easily be covered with the tree bark and some hot glue. Actually, I needed a lot of hot glue. Sorry for the quality of the pics. These are only phone pics and except for my sewing room, my workshop is pretty dark.
Now you can perfectly see the trick behind my light logs. Can you imagine how heavy such a couch would have been if it had been made out of real logs?
Notice the beaver chewed sticks. I had to buy a small chainsaw just to do those 4 pointed tips. I had no tool to do that otherway at the workshop. Yes, I used real logs to cut those. Too bad my Evil Dead chainsaw doesn’t work for real! lol
All the joins between the fake logs were hidden with moss and more hot glue. I used so much hot glue for this set!
There’s a big wall in one of my workshop units that I keep to install photosets. That’s where my previous Jujutsu Kaisen photoset was built. I painted that wall brown and started installing my beaver living room.
I added many details like a red and black blanket, real maple syrup tin cans as they are sold in our grocery stores in Québec, vintage maple syrup buckets and taps and custom made wall decorations. I used my new cutting machine to make the letter decals for my leather ‘Oh! Canada’ banner and my ‘True North Strong Free’ house shaped decoration. Notice my polar bear and moose plushies. So many lovely details. :)
The concept was funny and the first pics were hot. But there’s more! :D Yes, just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, XxX Plasterer – Part 2 is there to show you everything we can do with plaster! ;)
Of course, there’s more than remodeling going on in that set… and I don’t need my coveralls anymore! ;) Autographed prints available here: www.store.mcbourbonnais.com
Time for more remodeling… and more sexiness! Discover my new ‘XxX Plasterer’ photoset and you’ll never see construction work the same way! lol I think I look good with my new short hairstyle and a cap.
Yes, the giant ‘X’ shaped props on the wall are really made out of drywall and I can take off the small one in the middle, put it on the floor and use it as a seat. It’s a pretty cool photoset. :D
Yes, my first Nobara pics were already impressive, but Part 2 is outstanding! Nobara has gone wild and this is gonna be an epic fight! Make sure to check out my new ‘Nobara Nailed It’ cosplay photoset: www.store.mcbourbonnais.com
You might also want to see how I built this photoset, one of the most beautiful set I’ve created so far. It really looked like a movie set in my workshop… I can’t believe I had to demolish it to make room for my next project. :S But I have the pics to remember this set forever. :) You can read the Making of Blog here.
Here it is, the 2nd biggest cosplay photoset I built after my ‘Evil Boner’ photoset… a Jujutsu Kaisen photoset! Directly inspired by a scene from the anime, this set required months of work! :D
It all started with polystyrene bricks I had made for another project. I realized how easy it was to work with polystyrene insulating boards to make fake bricks or fake stones. And I decided to make a full wall (and even a floor) using those polystyrene insulating boards.
Each brick was cut one by one using a bandsaw. The brick texture was made using sanding paper, various cutting tools and a heat gun.
That sewer entrance or sewer gate was made using wooden dowels and fiberglass. The big ring is all made of fiberglass.
Then the sewer gate was installed in a support in the wall and the wall was covered with 4′ X 8′ polystyrene insulating boards.
Over that stone wall, there’s part of a brick wall. Each brick was easily glued with hot glue.
The polystyrene insulating boards on the wall were sculpted with a heating tool to create a stone effect. The junctions between the 4′ X 8′ polystyrene boards were covered with latex sealant. The latex sealant was then covered with baby powder to give it a mate effect. Otherway, the latex sealant, once painted, would have been glossy while the polystyrene is mate.
I used ordinary plaster as a fake mortar for the polystyrene bricks. Everything was very easy to paint.
Polystyrene is easy to melt with a heat gun. It creates the perfect stone texture.
Extra stone texture was added to the wall using plaster here and there.
A whole color palette was used to create a more realistic effect.
Body filler was applied on the wooden dowels to create a rust texture. The final effect is obtained after various paint coats.
The floor was also covered with polystyrene insulating boards.
Since it’s so easy to find Japanese anime cosplay costumes online nowadays, I didn’t sew this costume. I invested a lot of time and money in the photoset itself and I have to make efficient business choices for my company’s profitability. So the costume is store-bought, but I still had to change the buttons, adjust the costume to my measurements and I did some tiny improvements to the fake leather belt and pouch. However, the hammer and little straw doll are custom made. :)
I had first planned to sit on the sewer gate and do a lot of poses there during the photoshoot. However, lighting didn’t work out as planned and I ended up building a separate giant prop to sit on and take poses on it, a few feet in front of the wall. I built what could have been a stone column that would have fallen during the fight. It was made of a wooden structure covered with the same polystyrene insulating boards. No, all the pics of that photoset were not taken on the same day. I had to do 3 separate photoshoot days. Here’s my giant column. For the photoshoot, it was put on its side, on the photoset’s floor, like a fallen, broken column.
The final photography setup. :) Hope you enjoy my Jujutsu Kaisen photoset!
The first part of my Lightbox Photoset was gorgeous and dazzling. You thought it was breathtaking… but you haven’t seen anything yet! ;)
Lightbox Photoset – Part 2 is now available and it’s… jaw-dropping! :D This little teaser is just an appetizer. If you like extreme poses, you will be delighted!
